For me, real estate has always been about more than transactions. It’s about people, their stories, and the places where their lives unfold. My goal is to offer guidance that feels clear, steady, and supportive — the kind of experience that helps clients move forward with confidence.
Before becoming a realtor, I spent nineteen years in the academic field, first earning a PhD from Baylor University in Victorian Literature and Reading Methodology and then teaching as a professor for twelve years. This background informs how I approach my work today—with professionalism, excellent communication, rigorous research, and attention to detail. I’ve learned that clarity can turn overwhelming decisions into grounded ones, not to mention aid in negotiation. It is important to me that my clients always feel informed and understood.
My approach may be academic, but my client care originates in my Southern roots. Your buying experience should be one of exceptional customer service and hospitality, qualities that are my goal in every transaction.
A Perspective Shaped by Experience
My relationship with Crested Butte began long before I became a full-time local. I first experienced this valley as a visitor, then as a second-home owner, drawn to the mountains, the sense of community, and the feeling of belonging that seemed to live in every season. Over time, those part-time visits became a full-time life — a transition that taught me just how meaningful it is to call this place home.
Because I’ve walked that path myself, I understand both the excitement and the questions that come with buying or selling a home in the mountains. That perspective allows me to guide clients through the process in an informed way, keeping goals for the transaction in mind.
Home has always been closely connected to family for me. The memories I’ve created here — exploring trails with my children, quiet mornings in town, snowy evenings with our dogs curled at our feet — have shaped my appreciation for this valley in ways that continue to influence my work.
